- BENCHMARKING DATA USE: BambooHR aggregates and anonymizes customer data across its customer base to produce HR benchmarking reports and the 'Data at Work' product. While protected by anonymization thresholds (min 5 companies), procurement teams should be aware this is a documented secondary use of their HR data.
- AI TRAINING NUANCE: The AI Principles page states BambooHR does not train AI models on customer data. However, the AI Addendum permits fine-tuning for a specific customer's own AI features, scoped only to that customer. Buyers should review the AI Addendum closely.
